Can the Hemp shroud strap be bought now and be stored for later?

The strap can be placed in a dark room to be stored for years.

Can a shroud be used for burial?

Yes, together with a bier, a shroud can be used for burial.

Can the shroud be fastened to the carrier?

With the use of one of our Hemp shroud straps the body and shroud can bie tied to the bier.

Can a shroud be bought now, and be stored for later?

A shroud can be stored for years as long as it is kept in a dark room

Are undergarments required when using a funeral shroud?

When using a shroud, undergarments are not required.

Can a carrier be bought now, and be stored for later?

Even though they take up a lot of space, it is possible to store a carrier for a long time.

Is a carrier required when I decide to use a shroud?

In order to use the shroud for a burial or cremation as an alternative for a coffin, however, a carrier is required.

Can a shroud be used for a cremation?

Yes, it is legally possible to organise a burial or cremation with a shroud in the Netherlands. Most crematoriums have experience in doing this.

Is a cremation input board always required?

With crematoriums that require a carrier to have a flat bottom plate and an upright edge, the carriers that don’t meet these requirements will need to be supplemented with a cremation input board.

What is the best way to fold a shroud?

There are two different ways to fold our shrouds. The instructions are always delivered along with the shroud.
